Safety Harbor Florida Weather
The cyclone has been preparing for parts of America, and the dangers of winter have had a profound effect in some areas.
The National Weather Service in Tallahassee measured zero, and snow is an extremely rare sight in a region where temperatures typically reach the 70s at this time of year. The snow didn't last long in central Florida, but it did fall as a cold front moved through Florida Wednesday morning, causing the closure of schools and roads, including Interstate 10, part of which was paralyzed by icy conditions. The snow in northern Florida ended Wednesday afternoon, but only after it had fallen as far as the state capital Lakeland, according to the Florida Department of Natural Resources.
But with humidity, the temperature felt hot for six months in Tallahassee, according to the National Weather Service, and even more so in parts of central Florida.
During those months, Safety Harbor's water temperature did not drop below 20 degrees, but dropped to a low of -1.5 degrees Celsius for a few days.
In addition to the water temperature, the wind speed and wind direction during the day and night in Safety Harbor are an important indicator for a comfortable holiday beach. The wind blowing in a particular place depends on the weather conditions at that time and other factors such as sea level rise. Intermittent wind speeds and directions vary more than the hourly average, and we experience significant seasonal variations throughout the year. January 29 was our windy day this year, the second windiest on record, behind only the first day of January 2012.
The wettest months are August (70.8%), and the wettest months are September (71.5%) and October (73.4%). The least humid day this year was January 28, with 11 days of overcrowding, and our least humid month is October, which is the second driest month of the year at 70%.
